The research related to misattributed fatherhood seems to be very contentious. On one hand, critics of some research argue that the high percentages of misattributed fatherhood can be linked to where the samples are gathered - by couples who aren't sure who the father is. If the girl isn't certain herself then there's a chance he won't be the father. On the other hand, the sites that use this critique tend to have a political bias.
